Automate website change alerts with Zapier
SiteGauge fires a Zap the moment a change is detected through a live REST-hook subscription, connected with your own API key, so you can route website changes into thousands of apps and create monitors from spreadsheets, forms and CRMs the same way.
Included on every plan, including Free.
How to set it up
The same steps you will see in the product, so there are no surprises.
In SiteGauge, open Settings then API keys and create a key (the prefix is vgl_; API access is on every plan, including Free).
In Zapier, add Webhooks by Zapier as your trigger step and choose Catch Hook to get a unique URL for the Zap.
Subscribe that URL to SiteGauge's change feed: call POST /api/v1/hooks/subscriptions with your API key and the Catch Hook URL as targetUrl. Every detected change then POSTs signed JSON straight into your Zap, instantly, with optional filters for a specific monitor and a minimum severity.
To create monitors from a Zap instead, add a Webhooks by Zapier POST step that calls POST /api/v1/urls with your API key in the Authorization header.
What arrives in Zapier
- A plain-English AI summary of what changed and why it matters, once analysis completes
- Category and importance score, usually included so the loud signals surface first
- A link back to the full before and after in SiteGauge
- Grouped delivery on your alert cadence, so a busy page never floods the channel
