Quickstart

1

Add a URL

Paste any web page into the monitor box. SiteGauge fetches it immediately and stores a baseline snapshot - HTML, rendered text, and a screenshot.

2

Set your cadence

Choose how often we re-check: daily on Free, hourly on Standard, every 15 minutes on Pro, every 5 minutes on Business. You can override the frequency per monitor.

3

Tune what counts

Optionally narrow a monitor to a region of the page - a pricing table or hero section - so cosmetic changes elsewhere never trigger an alert.

4

Get the briefing

When something meaningful changes, our AI layer summarises what moved and why it matters, then delivers it by email, Slack, or webhook.

Core concepts

Monitor
A single tracked URL plus its settings - check frequency, the region of the page being watched, and where alerts are sent.
Snapshot
A point-in-time capture of a monitored page: rendered HTML, extracted text, and a full-page screenshot. Every check produces a snapshot we diff against the last.
Change
A detected difference between two consecutive snapshots. Each change carries a diff, an AI summary, and a significance rating (high, medium, or low).
Significance
Our AI's judgement of how much a change matters. A price cut rates high; a rotating testimonial rates low and stays out of your inbox unless you ask for it.
Digest
A batched email rolling up low-priority changes across all your monitors into one daily or weekly summary, so routine edits never spam you.
