What's new in SiteGauge

We ship continuously. Here's a running log of the features, improvements, and fixes that made it into production.

v2.6June 2026

Evidence exports, alerts everywhere & market-hours monitoring

Send alerts to any channel, keep tamper-evident records for compliance, monitor critical pages as often as every two minutes, and decide exactly when checks run.

NewRoute any alert to the channels you choose - keyword and smart alert rules can now notify Slack, Teams, a webhook or SMS as well as email, with a channel picker on each rule.
NewTamper-evident evidence exports - download a cryptographically signed manifest of a page's captured snapshots, each with a SHA-256 content hash, for compliance and legal records.
NewLegal hold - freeze a single monitor's or your whole workspace's snapshots so they're exempt from automatic retention deletion.
NewFaster, scheduled monitoring - check critical pages as often as every 2 minutes, and restrict a monitor to specific days and hours (for example weekday market hours) so checks run only when they matter.
NewA long-term 6-year compliance archive is now available as an add-on for regulated teams that need to keep snapshots well beyond the standard window.
ImprovedRead-only team members - invite viewers who can see monitors and changes but can't edit them, and billing is now limited to account owners and admins.
ImprovedUpgrading a plan is now one click, while downgrades route through the billing portal to prevent accidental plan changes.
FixedDocument monitoring now correctly detects changes to PDFs and other non-HTML files instead of skipping them.
FixedWe now flag when a target page is shielded by a bot-protection wall (Cloudflare, Imperva and similar) rather than silently reporting no change.
FixedThe dashboard now shows each monitor's real status and check frequency - some active monitors were being mislabelled as paused.
v2.5June 2026

Mobile diffs, sensitivity controls & simpler pricing

Watch pages on mobile as well as desktop, tune exactly how much change is worth an alert, and a clearer check-based pricing model with pay-as-you-go overage.

NewMulti-viewport monitoring - capture and compare both a desktop and a mobile rendering of a page, with a Desktop/Mobile toggle on the change view.
NewConfigurable change sensitivity (Low / Medium / High) per monitor - decide how large a content change has to be before it alerts you.
NewNew check-based pricing with pay-as-you-go overage ($2 / 1,000 checks) and a spend cap - monitors pause by default instead of forcing an upgrade, with 80% and 95% usage warnings.
NewConfigurable history retention per workspace, up to a long-term compliance window.
New@mentions in change comments now push to Slack and Teams, not just email.
ImprovedFAQs across the site are now collapsible accordions, and use-case, industry and pricing pages got a faster, cleaner refresh.
ImprovedThe free Sitemap Viewer now lists every child sitemap (not just the first 30), and each free tool can hand its result straight into a monitor.
v2.4May 2026

Smarter AI summaries & Slack threads

Change summaries now explain why a change matters, not just what changed - and they thread straight into Slack.

NewAI summaries now classify each change by significance (high / medium / low) so you can triage at a glance.
NewSlack alerts post as threaded replies on the monitor's channel, keeping each page's history in one place.
ImprovedDiff view collapses unchanged regions by default - jump straight to what moved.
FixedFixed duplicate alerts when a page flickered between two states within a single check window.
v2.3April 2026

Team workspaces & digest emails

Invite your team, share monitors, and roll noisy pages into a single daily digest.

NewShared workspaces - invite teammates and assign monitors per person or team.
NewDaily and weekly digest emails batch low-priority changes into one tidy summary.
ImprovedFaster crawl scheduling - hourly monitors now fire within 90 seconds of their slot.
FixedResolved a timezone bug that shifted digest send times by an hour during DST.
v2.2March 2026

Free developer tools & public API

Eight free utilities for quick checks, plus a documented REST API for everything else.

NewLaunched eight free tools: uptime checker, meta-tag analyzer, redirect checker, robots.txt checker, sitemap viewer, HTTP header checker, HTML diff, and word count.
NewPublic REST API - create and manage monitors and pull change data programmatically.
ImprovedJavaScript-rendered pages are now fully supported on every plan.
v2.1February 2026

Visual diffing & faster checks

See exactly what moved on the page, side by side.

NewVisual diff - screenshot comparison with highlighted change regions alongside the text diff.
ImprovedReduced average check latency by 40% with a rebuilt crawl pipeline.
FixedFixed false positives caused by rotating ad slots and session IDs.
