Get website change alerts by text message
Some changes cannot wait for you to open your inbox. SMS alerts reach your phone directly, so the changes you care about most find you wherever you are.
Available from the Standard plan ($24/mo).
How to set it up
The same steps you will see in the product, so there are no surprises.
1
In SiteGauge, open Alerts, click Add channel and pick SMS (the button below lands you on that exact form).
2
Enter your number in international format, starting with + and the country code.
3
We text you a 6 digit code; enter it to verify the channel. Nothing is sent until it is verified.
4
Use alert rules and the channel's cadence to keep texts for the changes that genuinely warrant one.
What arrives in SMS
- A plain-English AI summary of what changed and why it matters, once analysis completes
- Category and importance score, usually included so the loud signals surface first
- A link back to the full before and after in SiteGauge
- Grouped delivery on your alert cadence, so a busy page never floods the channel
SMS FAQs
Which plan do I need for SMS alerts?
SMS starts on the Standard plan, alongside the chat and webhook channels. The Free plan sends alerts by email.
How is my number verified?
Enter it in international format and SiteGauge texts you a 6 digit code. The channel sends nothing until you confirm the code, so a mistyped number never receives alerts.
Will I get a text for every change?
Only if you want that. Alert rules set a minimum severity, and the SMS channel can carry its own cadence override, so you can keep texts for high-severity changes while email carries the rest.
